Italy is accelerating its energy transition and it is doing so through auctions. The FER X programme is the incentive framework designed to allocate renewable capacity, mainly solar photovoltaic and onshore wind, to the developers that compete for it on the best terms.
In the latest call, held in December 2025, approximately 8.6 GW of power were awarded. A figure that speaks for itself about the size of the opportunity.
Spanish companies were very present. And we were with them. Because to take part in an Italian auction of this nature you need more than a good project: you need the right guarantees, adapted to the requirements of the Italian regulator, issued within the deadlines set by the call.

The result speaks for itself: a large part of the projects we supported were awarded capacity in Sicily and other regions of southern Italy.
